Five Minutes as Family

Maya walks out of her own engagement dinner — one her mother planned without asking her — and into the coffee shop across the street, where she asks the owner one favor: "Can I call you my brother? Five minutes." Ethan plays along. Then Maya's mother follows her in, sees the scratched silver watch on Ethan's wrist, and goes white.
